AAU Recap: OSA Gauntlet at Sanford Pentagon
The Omaha Sports Academy Adidas Gauntlet teams took on a combined 8 opponents in day one of the second weekend of the Sanford Pentagon Tournament Series. Here are the standouts from the Iowa West Field House:
OSA 15U Adidas (7-1 in series play, 3-0 on the day):
Hunter Sallis, Millard North: Sallis, a 2021 guard, scored 11 points in the second game of the day for the Crusaders against the Southwest Minnesota Stars. He also led OSA to a 72-43 win over Comets Elite.
OSA 16U Adidas (6-0 in series play, 2-0 on the day):
Jadin Booth, Omaha Westside: Booth, the 2020 guard coached by Jim Simons in both the high school and AAU seasons, scored 47 overall points on the day. 27 of those points came in game two against Minnesota Fury.
OSA 17U Adidas (8-0 in series play, 3-0 on the day):
Shereef Mitchell, Sunrise Christian Academy: The 2018 senior fresh out of Omaha Burke scored 18 points in a win over Comets Elite and took only 4:15 of gametime to reach double digits against the Southwest Minnesota Stars.
OSA Adidas Gauntlet action starts back up tomorrow at 9:05 a.m. as the 15U team faces Minnesota Fury in continued pool play. Catch the games at the Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs, IA.
