Chieftains Overcome Injuries to Take Down Bearcats

Bellevue East played host to the eighth ranked (OmahaHSHoops) Kearney Bearcats on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Behind four players in double digits, including Joey Skoff who led with 12 and injured his

ankle in the contest, the Chieftains escaped with a 59-53 win in overtime. Kearney forward Kanon Koster dropped 31 points to lead all scorers. The Chieftains shot 13-of-21 from the free throw line in the second half after not attempting one in the first.

Bellevue East returns to action on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 7:15 p.m. when they host second ranked Omaha Central.
